Servant-Leadership and Healthcare

We have a large number of students who enter our Master's program that are working in healthcare facilities. They range from nurses to floor managers to a Cheif Nursing Officer of a local regional hospital. So when I run into stories regarding servant-leadership and healthcare I find myself reading them rather closely.

This story really caught my eye. Of course, it doesn't hurt that it was very well written! It starts out by saying that the new president of North Mississippi Medical Center - Tupelo, Chuck Stokes, has no desk! The chief executive describes him as a servant-leader and if the story is accurate, he definitely embodies the principles of servant-leadership. It really is a wonderful read.
